Five older anime series for beginners.

Since I will soon be reviewing anime and manga for a popular website, I decided to do a quick post about five older series to introduce to fans of newer anime, or even those who are just looking for an introduction series.I made a point to choose each from a different genre so that comparing them to one another would be difficult.I also made sure that they were at least a decade old.I would have gone for much older series, however I just don't see a newbie watching Galaxy Express 999 without falling asleep, or Ranma 1/2 without feeling very confused. No offense to either of those mentioned. They each have merit in either artistic presentation or pure nostalgia depending on who you ask. However, what I am looking to talk about are accessible series with tangible story lines.I want to talk about relatable protagonists and villains that are recognizable as something more than a throwback from a saturday morning in the 80's.

15 Anime series that have touched my heart

I was tagged by a good friend mine in Facebook about 15 anime titles that have touched my heart.Well, I can't say that some of them did touch my heart in ways that could move mountains and split the deepest seas, but, they are there for the sheer fact of nostalgia and fond memories I had while watching them. And like the rest of my otaku friends, it's just literally hard to put just 15 when there are a lot to include in this list.

So without further ado, here are my top 15 in no particular order. (on top of my head...after the rules of course...)

THE RULES: DON'T TAKE TOO LONG TO THINK ABOUT IT. FIFTEEN ANIME YOU'VE SEEN THAT WILL ALWAYS STICK WITH YOU. LIST THE FIRST FIFTEEN YOU CAN RECALL IN NO MORE THAN FIFTEEN MINUTES.

To-Do List: Oldies but Goodies

*Firstly, welcome to my new blog-design

I thought it'd be fun to show you some of my planned and non-scheduled cosplays, that I put into the category "Oldies but Goodies"

Fairy Tail Chapter 359 Review

Any furries in the audience?

We start our week in Tartaros HQ, where Tempester was regaining his old body and telling Kyouka how he always forgets his name every time he dies, which I found weird because he remembers everything else. Apparently, Tempester will take longer than usual to regenerate due to Kyouka creating a new demon. And it's Minerva! So, I'm happy because Minerva is still alive and she'll be becoming a super-powerful demon soon, which means Erza can't win so easily next time, thank God.

Anime Festival Asia 2013

2013, a fun and exciting event, a gathering of many people who loved the world of manga, comics, cartoons and anime. was held from 8th to 10th November 2013, at the Suntec International Convention and Exhibition Centre, over the 3 days event, it was packed with many fans and followers of anime, along with a big turnout of cosplay parade as well outside the convention halls.

Inside the convention halls, there were many exhibitors showcasing their a range of anime, comics, collections, cosplay wear. There were many visitors to the Anime Festival Asia 2013 and it was like the turnout of our regular quarterly IT Show! This was also a time for the artists to showcase their talents in their comics drawings, networking with fellow anime artists, anime arts and crafts too! I do love the anime figurines on display, especially the robots! The newer anime robots reminded me of my childhood days following science fiction anime series ! Other anime series that I followed vigorously last time were Samurai X and Ranma 1/2. While I am a bit lost behind with the current anime circle of happenings and shows, I always love the anime cartoon series, comics and cosplay, they are just so much fun, interesting and colourful! It's not just about the exhibition and cosplay, there were guest and celebrities flown in from overseas to grace the event and meet the fans too! There were concert performances too during Anime Festival Asia 2013 Singapore!

Otaking 18- Birdy The Mighty: Decode

Birdy The Mighty: Decode2008 - 2009Streamed on - FunimationEpisodes: Two seasons, 25 + 1 OVAGenre: Action, Mystery, Sci Fi, Comedy

This show is Epic. Yeah I said it.

Yes, I know I am waaay late on this Anime. Over two months late. I kept watching the fall shows and also found new ones while I paused on this. And yet there is always a reason as to why Birdy has been held up. I have way too much criticism to give to this series and I would give it the award of "Most Disappointing Anime I have ever watched" with no hesitation. Yet, I loved it. I liked the concepts, styles, and themes it provided as well as the action it presented when it was given the chance. Also the 2nd season was awesome. But let's start out by roasting the show first though. I need ta get this off my chiest.

Chu-Bra!!

Chu-Bra!! is an interesting fanservice show, because it challenges what the common perception of modesty is. Where other anime or manga series with this sort of context are strictly about fanservice for the viewer, a major plot of this series is the concept of what is too taboo to talk about with teenagers, and even some adults.

Our focus of this series is Nayu Hayama and her love for women's underwear. It's not a perverse lust for underwear for panties like Happosai (from Ranma 1/2) has, but a sincere interest in underwear. Nayu's brother, like her late grandmother, are professional under designers, and their passion for the work and indeed the art of it has been passed on to her as well. Nayu takes a great deal of interest in what people are wearing, the design of their underwear, and weather it is comfortable or not for them. Nayu likes to give advice, and help her friends whenever possible, and is so knowledgeable about underwear she can give proper advice to any girl, no matter what their size is. Nayu is a wonderfully written character because she does mean well, and doesn't look down on anyone when it comes to their size, but she comes across as overbearing at times, and can cross the line when it comes to personal space, even with her close friends.

Exciting news!

I DID say I was going to post tonight and I AM just scraping it in, at 11.30pm but.

I did want to share some good news
