Samy promises a decent outing in theatres with Kangaroo

Samy, the director who made sizzling and controversial films such as Uyir (2006) and Sindhu Samaveli (2010), has built up a reputation of a director who deals in 'sleaze'. Though he also made Mirugam in 2007 which dealt with the ills of tobacco and liquor intake, the other two films which had sleaze as the main theme garnered him more publicity (albeit in a negative manner).

My (Little) Japanese Side
In two hours and 40 minutes I read 1097 pages from the scanned tankobons of manga (you can find them .) I couldn't stop myself. Kuno would have forbidden it probably screaming this way.
And I think P-Chan will be one of my future self gifts. In case you were asking I'm not an otaku and neither a comics' expert. I used to read Disney comics like Mickey Mouse (involuntarily I've taken after my bro J), Donald Duck, Scrooge McDuck, Minnie and Witch ones.. I read Peanuts for a while.. but this is my first manga. I could read Kodocha or InuYasha next.. Or Death Note, my friend A's watching the anime.

Viz Media will release Ranma 1/2 in BD/DVD On July 2014!!!

North American manga and anime publisher Viz Media announced at its panel at Otakon on Saturday that it will release the Ranmatelevision anime series on Blu-ray Disc and DVD. The release will mark the first time the series will get a release on Blu-ray Disc in North America. The show will also debut this fall on Neon Alley, and will also stream on VizAnime.com. Additionally, Viz Media will host special Ranmaprogramming at New York Comic Con in October.

Otakon 2013 has come and gone, but not without making a big splash in the current North American anime industry. There's one particularly large piece of news that affects two major U.S. licensors, plus plenty of smaller news of note.

Otakon 2013: Our 6 Favorite Announcements
This was an Otakon of big nostalgia announcements.
In the past, Otakon was one of the places were the titles from the last two or three seasons would be announced, but now that almost every title is simulcast, it is becoming more common that U.S. licensors announce their physical release plans along with the streaming news. Now, by the time Otakon rolls around, most of the titles that are not little kids shows and sports series have been scooped up. So that leaves mainly license rescues at this point in time along with a sprinkling of manga news.
