Well this wasn't the news(Scarlett) fans were looking forward to. After the release of their single(Akagami ~A! Gyokusai Tairanmai~) back in August and their lack of lives in the latter half of 2013, Scarlett have come out within the last day and announced that they'll be disbanding as of this April. The following statement was posted on their OHP and translated by our own Jackson.
We have something we must report to you all today.
After playing our concerts on April 8th and 9th at Hiroshima Namiki Junction, and our April 20th sponsored show at Takadanobaba AREA, Scarlett will be disbanding.
After much discussion with our office, members, and staff about the future of the band, we have unfortunately come to the conclusion that it would be impossible for the three of us to continue this band any further, so we've decided to break up.
We believe we still could have grown further as a band, but we were able to fight on this far thanks to everyone's support. We cannot express our gratitude enough. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
To all the fans who've cheered us on, and all our officials and affiliates: We're deeply sorry for breaking up the band to suit our own convenience. We're happy to give one last expression of our thanks by playing our one last organized show.
We'll be giving our all to the band to the very end to show our very real good faith, and we hope you'll support us all the way.
Hayato, Daichi, Masaki
No further information has been posted regarding their final three lives save for what was stated above. As soon as more details are available, we'll keep you updated.
